You'll find the implementation provisions for the various study programs in the relevant program regulation. This includes information on the curriculum, the modules you have to book, and any requirements in terms of how the study program has to proceed. You must comply with the rules on the procedure set down in the program regulation. Often you will also find a model curriculum showing, by way of recommendation, how you might proceed with the study program. Please also note the module-specific details at the various faculties (e.g. the regularity with which modules are offered, follow-up modules, module requirements, etc.).
The plan is that you should earn a total of 30 ECTS credits per semester during your studies. One ECTS credit is equivalent to 25 to 30 hours of work for the average student. However, there are no binding upper or lower limits on the number of ECTS credits you can obtain each semester. If you earn fewer credits than suggested in the model curriculum, the length of time for which you have to study merely increases correspondingly.
Your module booking always also counts as registration for the relevant assessment, provided no separate examination module is specified.

For students at the Vetsuisse Faculty, modules are booked centrally by the dean's office. Exception: For general studies from the fourth year onward, modules must be booked by the students themselves.
